The Hitchers on The Jimmy Star Show

The Hitchers will be a featured guest on The Jimmy Star live radio show hosted by King of Cool, Jimmy Star along with his Cool Crowd of cohosts to discuss music, their second album, and all things art and entertainment. The Jimmy Star Show is radio’s newest hit show, featuring the coolest in music, entertainment, fashion and pop culture, all from a fun industry insider perspective in a completely live, unedited fast-paced two-hour conversational format.

The Hitchers are a rock band hailing from Middlesbrough, England known for their own style of punk infused 50s rock ‘n’ roll. Capturing the infectious buzz of punk rock with the fun and style of the 1950s classic American rock ‘n’ roll years, and dispensing the results in short, melodic bursts of energy, The Hitchers are bringing live energy back to music to rave reviews. The Hitchers have been a touring band for over five years, also touring internationally in Canada, Germany, and the USA including being a part of the Vans Warped Tour. The Hitchers have just signed a multi-record deal in the United States with Spectra Records. Their latest release is entitled " Tees Valley Deadbeats" and has just been released in stores worldwide. The Hitchers have been inspired over the years by the likes of The Stray Cats, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, 7 Seconds, Descendents, The Cramps, The Living End and on occasion, Cyndi Lauper.

A USA tour for The Hitchers is currently being planned for 2012. Their first single "Berwick Hills 90210" is gaining a fantastic amount of radio airplay all the way from England’s BBC to Seattle’s rock stations.
