Gregory Abbott is an American soul musician (keyboards and drums), singer, composer and producer. Abbott is known worldwide for his multi-platinum 80s mega hit Shake You Down on the platinum selling album of the same name, which showcased his smooth voice, songwriting talent and smoldering good looks. On September 6, 2011 Abbott's new album, Drop Your Mask will be released to retailers nationwide.
Gregory Abbott's illustrious career has seen hits Got The Feelin (Its Over), Ill Prove It To You, and Let Me Be Your Hero. He began his career straightaway with a duet with Whitney Houston, produced for the Atlantic Records group EQ, and has written and recorded with many top artists.
Abbott's parents came from Venezuela and Antigua. He is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Antigua. During his early years, Abbott's mother taught him how to play piano and encouraged him to develop vocally. Before his career as musician, Abbott studied psychology at University of California, Berkeley and creative writing at Stanford, where he won a Wallace Stegner fellowship. Since he has also taught English at University of California, Berkeley.
Abbott is currently signed to Spectra Records. His new album Drop Your Mask features new original songs such as Miracles, Rhythm Rhyme, Without You, and Do The Carribean, and its upcoming release is highly anticipated.

Freddie Mercury, born Farrokh Bulsara was born on Zanzibar in 1946. After moving to England in 1964, he dabbled in the arts, studied and eventually met Brian May and Roger Taylor in 1970. Little did they know back then that this chance meeting would lead to such a fruitful musical partnership, producing one of the most popular, best selling groups to ever emerge from the UK on a global scale. With massive hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, I Want To Break Free, Radio Ga Ga, A Kind of Magic the group enjoyed global popularity spanning three decades. The group as we know it was brought to an abrupt halt upon the untimely death of Mercury in 1991 as a result of AIDS.
